Law Firm Says Laserfiche “Keeps Them Competitive” With Help from Adjamian Affiliated Inc.

The Fullerton city attorney’s office manager calls Laserfiche a “wonderful product” and says “it makes life easier” for employees.

Fullerton, CA — August 30, 2011 – Jones & Mayer is one of Fullerton’s oldest law firms. Their prestigious clientele include Fullerton, California, which they represent as the city attorney. Since implementing Laserfiche in 2007, Office Manager Lauren Budd says the customized document management solution provided by Adjamian Affiliated has made life easier for all of their employees. Everyone from secretaries and file clerks to the top attorneys and partners have benefited from it.

When Budd joined the firm, her first task was to find a suitable paperless filing system for the office. A former office manager said they had been impressed with a Laserfiche demonstration they’d seen. After looking into it, Budd agreed that it seemed like the perfect solution. She said its ease of use and Windows-like interface really appealed to her.

It seemed very compatible with our way of doing things,” Budd said. “And it looks like Windows, so it was something that we’re used to. I was looking for something that would help us streamline work processes but be easy to wrap your head around.

Before Laserfiche, Budd said the office was swamped with paper. Having only one physical copy of every document made it easy to lose track of things, especially if more than one person needed a file at once.  Now, everyone has the capacity to pull up client files and other data instantly at their desk. They can also access documents from their home or the courtroom by remotely accessing their work computer.

Their staff uses Laserfiche to streamline the Bates numbering process, which Budd described as “a real blessing.” She said members of the support staff are the biggest champions of Laserfiche.

Overall, Budd says having Laserfiche in their office has cut down on stress and increased efficiency across the board. Some staff members were at first hesitant to migrate to a paperless system, but now have realized just how much more effective it can make them.

The attorneys are so impressed when their secretaries pull up a document in 30 seconds. We mimicked our folder structure like it is on the shared drive, so it’s an easy transition to make,” Budd said.

She says the increased efficiency and decreased stress have made the investment worth it.

What it saves us in accessibility and stress level is the best part,” Budd said.

Allen Adjamian, the president and founder of Adjamian Affiliated Inc., said he looks forward to helping Jones & Mayer complete the transition to a fully paperless office.

“It’s exciting to see companies that have relied on paper for such a long time make the switch to an electronic filing system,” Adjamian said.
